So does anyone have any experience with this? My mechanic had to break the LATCH ASSEMBLY/LOCK unit in order to get the sliding door open. Most of the reasons for a fuel door that won't open are relatively simple: Broken fuel door release: Some vehicles have releases for the fuel door. And yet, as soon as you realize that it's not functioning correctly, you'll find yourself thinking about it a lot. Now I've just had a look, and something just doesn't look right with the 2 electrical connectors? Verdict, if anyone unfortunately experiences a similar situation. Does not seem to be a way to get to it easily.
