And are you looking to run an aftermarket/remote oil filter? When the lines on my bike were hooked up by a PO, it looked like they were done wrong and the motor starved of oil, with the expected results. Thanks in advance!!!!! I just want to know how to do it right. Latex paint sticks really good to rubber. On my tank the bottom is the feed but the other three are just open so they can be any one of the others you want. It's only 3 hoses, no rocket science needed. I got a 71 ironhead I ought it with just motor and trans and frame I got the bike ready to ride now just need oil lines ran i got two fittings behind the camcase/ sprocket cover. The FSM has oil line routing diagrams. That'll be the line to run to cooler/ filter and back to the tank. Pay close attention to the year of your cases as the hose positions changes between years. Sportster/Buell Year #2: 1972. Unless the cases are sumped, the feed side of the pump is is obviously working when you see oil returning to the tank. Other Motorcycle Model: 1200 Chopper XL. What should i do with the extra spigot hole in the oil tank and how do i know that enough oil would get thru the one line that is running? But here's an idea to simplify it.
