It will be very interesting to see where the ACOTAR chapters leave off in Crescent City 3, and how that affects which characters will be the main focus of the sixth ACOTAR book. At least I hope so, because she does like to break her characters before bringing them back up. That's a very interesting theory that it was never Tamlin under the mountain until the end.
