At first I was angry that we weren't getting the fourth audiobook as I wanted more of Poppy and Casteel, especially after the jaw-dropping ending of the third novel. He's strong and hot obviously but he's also inexperienced. And so it will begin with the last Chosen blood spilled, the great conspirator birthed from the flesh and fire of the Primals will awaken as the Harbinger and the Bringer of Death and Destruction to the lands gifted by the gods. This did transpire, and she was horrified by what was done, and when she died, Eythos did something to ensure that Kolis would never reach Sotoria–he designated her soul for rebirth. I was equally entertained by what happened in both halves of the book, even with the loads of world-building that takes place. It's hard for my brain to wrap around how love would weaken someone.
