This has been a real runaround mess. Not sure why they are not the same exact amount. If it turns out that it was the IRS that reduced your refund, then you should get a letter in about 3 weeks or so. That deposit description is for users who chose to pay their fees out of the Federal refund, and that payment method does require direct deposit.
