Take a factory glock and run the same test, gently follow the slide home and you'll feel the resistance when the trigger bar depresses the firing pin safety. The plunk test- I'm assuming this is dropping a round in the chamber with the barrel out of the gun. Are you using a factory glock slide with factory parts? Should I be worried about carrying the gun if it won't shoot ball ammo without malfunctioning?

Since in the last part, he mentioned if he releases at full power it is fine. Basically if you're not holding back the trigger, the slide goes forward just fine but if you hold the trigger, then the slide will catch (i presume on the trigger bar thing) and it holds it until you release the trigger, in which case the slide pops forward just fine. Since he apparently doesn't have a firing pin safety spring problem then my best guess is that his connector has too much outward angle on it.
