It tested how much I trust my gut feelings. I enjoyed this book and recommend it. Intriguing and heart-wrenching story of love and loss and magic! I thought it was beautifully done, and Barbara Davis is a new favorite author of mine to explore.
I would certainly love to try more fiction by this author. To know her is to fall more deeply in love with her as a character. While charting OR-7's record-breaking journey out of the Wallowa Mountains, Erica simultaneously details her own coming-of-age as she moves away from home and wrestles with inherited beliefs about fear, danger, femininity, and the body. Trust me, this is one you will want to pre-order.
