Hopefully the Marina would be more appropriately staffed during the busy season. It has 2 heated pools, 2 clubhouses, 2 tennis courts, gym and sauna and jitney to/from the train station, and an adjacent 173-slip marina. Steve will be your best friend and is very helpful and working very hard at making this a wonderful Marina. If you seek refuge AVOID this place. Steve is easily reached via text and voice and quickly responds.
He was furious and rightly so. We rode our bikes into town, had an excellent lunch, and found beautiful produce at Apple Farm. A large CVS as well as other pharmacy/stores are within 2 blocks. Steve and his knowledgeable staff have far exceeded any expectation.
Additionally, Steve's communication was prompt, informative and useful. Sadly, the Marina does not give transient boaters access to its swimming pool; that was disappointing, for sure. The complex has 2 pools, 2 clubhouses, 2 tennis courts, access to an adjacent 173-slip marina. Once on the dock, good facility and helpful staff. There is a small pedestrian tunnel underneath the tracks north of the marina which makes it easy to get to stores and restaurants. Apple Barn looks like a small store from the outside but they had most of the provisions we needed. We've been called an oasis or paradise! Steve off-loaded responsibility for the lack of docking assistance by saying he had asked some 'people on the dock' to help us out, but 'somehow they didn't see us'.
